A Day Out With GG & GT

 As a special treat for a very special boy Avery got to have a day out with GG & GT,  at Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America.  And from the looks of things he had a great time!

What is in here?

My parents neighbor’s son dropped off some baby chickens the other day for her to “watch” while he was out of town, so being the great neighbor she is she invited Avery over to see her house guests.

Avery really liked looking at them but didn’t what much to do with holding or touching them. But he was very excited to see them and hear them peep.

At 2 years, 5 months, Avery wears size 8 shoes, 3T shorts,  3T shirts, size 5 diapers and 3T Pjs.

Park Rapids Party Time 3.0

It finally worked out with everyone's schedule to go to Park Rapids to celebrate Avery's (2nd) cousin's 3rd birthday! Its about an 4 hour drive to Park Rapids and luckily Avery is a great traveler. He kept himself entertained with books, toys, singing and all the vehicles on the road and all the tractors in the fields!

Things got a little tough towards the end of the trip up but Avery was rewarded when we finally got to Grandma Kathy's house and he got to play with a whole house full of different toys!

After a long afternoon in the car I was hoping Avery would be tired and ready for bed but I was wrong.

I must have lost my mind!

And since we were on vacation I gave in and let him have M&Ms and power-aid for a bedtime snack, which was less of bedtime snack and more of fuel to stay up late. He finally crashed at about 11:30, and as most parents know who have ever shared a bed with their child can understand I didn't sleep too well because Avery is a complete bed hog!

Even with a the late night before Avery was up early and ready to play, which was a good thing. Saturday was filled with cousins being silly and having fun with each other. It's always fun when these four get together, sometimes a little crazy but always fun!

After playing beauty parlor with Julia, and skid steer with Danny for a while, everyone bunddled up and headed out to play with the sand and water table before it was time for the main event, the birthday party!

If you asked whose birthday it was to any of the kids that all gave you the same answer, "Mine!".  And so it was. Everyone blew out the candles and open presents.

 But the actual birthday girl and boy got the best presents, 2 new low rider trikes! And since Avery loves everything with wheels and his cousin Julia shares Avery got to take the birthday trike for a spin.

Sibley Season

May has been a strange weather month in Minnesota this year, but we have had a few nice days that we could get out and play. It's great living in a community with so many great parks, one of which is Sibley, great climbers for a wide range of ages and animals, Avery is a big fan. (so am I)

New Favorite

Avery and Stuck Truck

Avery has always like books and from time to time he gets stuck on one book and we read it over and over and over. In this case "stuck" is the right word for his new favorite book, "My Truck is Stuck". Its a good book about you guessed it, a truck getting stuck. The best part about reading a book so many time is he has the book memorized, and its so cute when Avery repeats the lines from the book, even when we aren't reading.  He now says, Rotten Luck, my truck is stuck, cant go" when something gets stuck. And like any favorite thing it might not be his favorite thing in a week but for now his "Stuck Truck" book is King.

Mother's Day 2013

 I am a very very lucky mom to have such a great little boy to celebrate Mother's Day with. I am so blessed and thankful everyday for him.

 The day could not have been more perfect, it was just a sunny Sunday filled with sand, peddling, laughing, running, and riding.

2013 Golden Heart 5K

It might have been a really windy day out but that didn't stop anyone, especially Avery from having a great time at 2013 Golden Heart 5.
