Turing 3 Requires 3 Parties - (3rd Party)

Avery has now had 3 parties! So he can be officially 3 now I guess.  His third and final 3rd birthday party was at GG & Papa Terry's house. Daddy grilled hot dogs and brats, and we had lots of yummy things to eat! And of course there were cupcakes!
And presents.

Wuk Fut 2014

Hard to believe that it was just over a year ago that Avery was making his first ski runs down Mt. Kato and a few days later skiing as forerunner in his first race, the Wuk Fut! But here we are a year later, a few days after his 3rd birthday and he has again skied as a forerunner at the same race.
Wuk Fut 2014
And what a difference a year makes, last year i was doing all the skiing, but this year (when we were off the steep part of the hill) I let Avery go and followed him using his "reigns".
On his own!

Heading towards the finish!
I am so so very proud of him. He has never missed a Wuk Fut.... 3 for 3. Way to go buddy!
So so so proud!!!

Turing 3 Requires 3 Parties - (2nd Party)

Avery had one request for his birthday, he wanted to go bowling!  So we gathered the grandparents at the WOW Zone for some pizza, presents and some bowling fun....

Avery with Papa Terry and GG

Well we did have fun but we didn't get to bowl, they were oiling the lanes for league so even though all the lanes were empty, there were no lanes for a 3 year old to bowl on. Try explaining that to a 3 year old, actually he took it pretty well, I think i was more disappointed for him that he was, he did keep asking when we could bowl so we just kept busy playing other things.
Jumbo pin and the birthday boy!
In spite of not being able to bowl he sure had a ton of fun. He got to play Terminator, bounce balls into a dog's mouth, play some skee ball, ride a motorcycle and drive a car, and that was all before the pizza was ready!
Playing Terminator with Daddy
So much Fun!
Skee ball is like bowling!

Taking a ride with Daddy

More Terminator with Papa
Driving with Mommy
Riding Solo!
We had pizza and presents and cupcakes! And we had a happy 3 year old on our hands!
Of course there was "Blue Juice"
Yummy Pizza!
King of the Cupcakes!

Yummy!
It was a great birthday party, even without the bowling. Two parties down, one to go!

Happy 3rd Birthday Avery!

Happy Birthday to the most lovable little boy we know.
Birthday Boy!

At age Three, Avery's favorite color is blue, is favorite fruit is an apple, we aren't sure if he is left or right handed or both....he love trucks and trailers and all things that go!

He is wearing size 9 shoes, 3T pants and 4T shirts. He is smart and kind, silly and caring.

We are so lucky to have such a happy healthy little boy. Happy Birthday Avery! Mommy and Daddy love you so much!

Turing 3 Requires 3 Parties - (1st Party)

Some how I blinked and not only has another Christmas and New Years Eve/Day come and go but so has another year and.... Avery will be 3 in two days...

Avery's Up North cousins just happen to be in town so we had to celebrate with them a few days early!  We had BBQs one of Avery's favorites! and of course there was cake and presents!
Birthday Boy!
My mom made Avery a snow covered mountain of a cake! And Avery did a great job blowing out his candles.

Make a wish!

I want the top!
Cake picture, year 3

After cake and ice cream, Avery got to open his presents! And then play with his presents.
Cheese!

Avery loves games!

Avery got some Cars Drifters, really small cars with a ball bearing instead of wheels, and a launcher for them. He loves it but, they are very small cars, small enough to fit under the stove, and that is where one eventually ended up.

We had to take the drawer out and get out flash lights it was a real production, but we looked and looked, but couldn't find it. I knew it was there, it had to be there, I saw it go under!
It's under there..

This event caused me to remind my dad of when I lost a birthday present. My party was at Hardees, I had gotten a My Little Pony with wings, I had it in the car with me but then I lost it. To this day I am convinced the car ate my pony!!!!!  My dad sold that car a few years later and I just know that my pony was still in there somewhere....(scared for life, cant you tell)

Anyway, I did find the car, it was in the very very very back on the side in a space that was almost to small for the car. With the car rescued the fun could continue!

It was a great party, the first of three to celebrate Avery turning 3! (and no this is not a tradition we are starting - number of parties for how old you are)

Seeing the Sibley Lights!

Well finally, with only one night to spare,  we made our way to see the lights at Sibley park!
2013 Kawanis Lights
We had tried a few times before but we either ran out of time in the night or it was too cold or the line was too long, or in the case of last night Avery fell asleep on the side of the park without the lights and didn't want to wake up. But tonight, we made it, dressed in our snow clothes from skiing we walked around the barn area and looked for any animals (which there were none) and saw all the lights (which there were a ton)!

Enjoying the lights!

Winter Wonder Land In White!
Counting all the blue Lights!

It was a lovely snowy night, perfect to see the lights, a perfect way to start wrapping up 2013 and getting ready for 2014!

Family Festivities (Final Round)

I never get tired of seeing the joy and excitement on Avery's face with each gift he opens this holiday! And what makes my heart smile even more is how much he appreciates and loves each one, and wants to play with them, temporally forgetting about the other gifts he still has to unwrap!
Present delivery!
Unwrapping one last gift
I also had to laugh, because Avery's favorite color might be Blue, but you would have never known after today, you would have thought it was Yellow and Black!
Merry Truck-mass!
More yellow and black!

Avery said something this Christmas that was really sweet, when I asked if he got what he wanted for Christmas, he replied, "I got just the right amount of presents."

Santa!

Avery made the nice list!
Santa came! And what did he leave our good boy?
Well a nice ornament with a "Big A"
