Last night was the open house of the new Mankato Public Safety Center, which puts fire, police and rescue under the same roof for the first time in Mankato history. During the open house the public could tour the entire building. We opted for the self guided tour, with the majority (all) of our time spent in garage area where the fire trucks and rescue vehicles are kept. Avery was so excited to see all the big trucks!

Besides getting to see all the trucks, we got the chance to climb the training tower. From the top of the tower you could see all of the downtown, it was pretty good view at night.

It looks like a nice facility (from what we saw) and I am glad we got to chance to take a look around (aka see the trucks!).
